POLY BOOSTERS, INCORPORATED

In 1897, Polytechnic High School began as a commercial branch of the only high school in the city, Los Angeles High School, and is the second oldest high school in our city. 

 

In 1935, John H. Francis was added to the school's name in honor of our founder and first principal, John H. Francis.

In 1957, Poly was moved to its present site on forty acres in Sun Valley, California.
